Which means that X, feeling the car jerk to a stop, drops her hands down and digs all of her claws deep into the inner workings of the engine.
When she goes flying--because even friction cannot save you when your claws cut through anything--she leaves a swathe of destruction behind her. If any of the fuel is leaking, someone should probably start hoping metal-on-metal did not give rise to any sparks.
X, for one, does not mind either way.
It is not often immediately relevant to her survival.
