The whole place is ringing with the echoes of MP7 submachine gun fire and the crack of a shotgun. Has Voodoo ever heard Gordon practicing behind Milliways with his pulse rifle? It's a different kind of noise altogether, a weirdly flat pud pud pud sound. It leaves the air tinged with an odd ozone-like smell. And every time two or three rounds go off another Combine gun goes silent.
Which means Voodoo doesn't really have much time at all to hear it before Gordon calmly announces, "Clear right. I'm claiming the shotgun rounds."
